SERVE WITH DCC
Let’s Be Great Neighbors.
What does it mean to serve?
Serving isn't just an extra way to fill time in a week. It's a way to meet others, to serve as Christ served us, and to maybe even be the difference in somebody feeling like DCC is a place they belong. We believe every Sunday is somebody's Sunday- for someone to hear the gospel for the first time in a long time or for the very first time.
WHERE CAN I SERVE at DCC?
Production Team: Create an environment for people to have a genuine worship experience in person and online through lights, cameras, slides, etc.
Kids Team: Teaching the children about Jesus and serving the families of our church so well that they wake up every day wishing it were a Sunday.
Downtown Cleanup Crew: Maintaining and cleaning our space to welcome our church family and community into an atmosphere that feels comforting and cared for.
Usher Team: This team not only helps churchgoers find seats but also gathers together to pray over the congregation before the day begins.
Coffee Bar Team: Help people wake up on a Sunday morning by serving them a nice, hot cup of coffee.
Connections team: Help new and old visitors get connected and plugged into the life of our church.
Worship Team: Invite people into God’s presence through musical worship, whether that be instruments or singing.
Parking Lot Team: Make the first impression that start someone’s Sunday by helping direct cars and greet them as they join our Sunday services.
Foster Crew at Downtown Community Church
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27 NIV
Foster Crew is a ministry of a DCC partnering with One More Child to mobilize church members to walk alongside foster families on their journey. It’s simple — if you can cook, mow the lawn, play with kids, or pray — you can make a world of difference for foster families and foster children in your community!
Sunday Service at Jefferson Correctional
“I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me…And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’"
MATTHEW 25:36-40
On the first Sunday of each month we host a Sunday Service at Jefferson Correctional where we share a meal, worship, and get to hear a message from God's word together!! If you would like to join us please fill out the interest form below!
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
